amazing! thank you for sharing this wild ride. the circus really was in town. Loved it top to bottom.

the black and white with the one other blue was just super. made the night time just feel magical and illuminated by something other worldly.

thanks! all the linework’s scanned brushpen, all the text is scanned rapidograph, and all the shading/coloring is digital.

love all these but dbr! really rocks my boat. love the sketches too. i think EVERY body designing should do sketches before doing computers. so closer to the idea. the mind and hand know stuff the computers don’t.

My name is Christine McDonald. I’m a writer, reviewer and Co-Editor at Country Music Pride. I just wrote a review of Deborah Allen’s book “The Loneliest Christmas Tree” wherein I mentioned the gorgeous illustrations you created for the story. And truly, I mean that. My very first job was in the children’s picture book section of my local library. I’ve spent many days in schools and school library’s reading to children. I just want to say that your illustrations are absolutely brilliant – not just in color but design, layout, concept. They make the page and the story come to life.
